Closed for Vacation September 6 – October 6
We will be closed in 2019 from September 6 through October 6 for our yearly shut-down. Though we won’t be responding to reservation requests until we reopen on Monday, October 7, existing clients can still send in your request(s) like usual via text, email, Facebook, voice mail message…whatever method you prefer.
If you’re a new client, please go to our Reservations page and follow the steps to register with us, as well as, fill out an application on your pup.
2019 Closed Dates – Mark Your Calendars!
Hi Everyone!
It’s that time of year again where we post what days we’ll be closed so that you can mark your calendars and plan in advance 🙂 On that note, we are receiving a lot of requests to make reservations MONTHS in advance!
We’ll be accepting reservations up through Monday, April 29, 2019, as of December 1st; on March 30, 2019, we’ll be opening up our calendar to accept summer reservations up through September 5; and on August 31, 2019, we’ll be accepting Holiday reservations.
Here are the list of dates that we’ll be closed:

Dates We Are Closed
KYPSAH will be closed the following dates this year for vacation:

We are open for Thanksgiving and all other holidays this year SAVE for Christmas.
Reservations for the Holidays
Doggie pie for pups!
We are currently accepting dog boarding reservations for and around July 4th, Labor Day Weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve.
Please note that Thanksgiving is our biggest holiday of the year. We typically are booked anywhere from 4-6 weeks out.
Concerning Doggie Daycare on Holidays
Our Doggie Daycare is not available on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day. Only Dog Boarding is being serviced on these days.
As always, space is limited so let us know as soon as you can what dates you’ll need your fur-kid boarded. Feel free to fill out our New Reservation Request form to get started!

We would like to provide you with a list of dates that we will either have limited services or will be closed for some or all services, for the year 2013. We do this for your planning convenience 🙂

The following dates are the dates in 2013 that we’ll be closed or have limited services:

As you can see above, we will be closed for most of September this year. We scheduled these dates to get our clients serviced through the entire summer through Labor Day Weekend (we know many of you like to travel then). If you need pet sitting referrals, let us know.
List Update: We have opened up Thanksgiving and Christmas this year due to popular demand. Please note where it says “boarding only”, daycare and our [pet taxi] shuttle service will not be offered.
2013 Schedule of Dates Posting Soon
The past couple of years, it’s become a practice to publish the following year’s list of “closed” dates ahead of schedule so that our clients can see our schedule, at least as far as the dates we’ll be closed. Of course, for the times and dates where we fill up on specific dates/days, this information is usually posted on our Facebook page, along with most of our daily blogs and fun pictures.
When we get the dates figured out of when we’ll be closed, we’ll post them up in the slide show area so they will be easily accessible for you, for your pet-planning needs.
If you’re new to KYPSAH, you may be wondering why we’ll be closed in the first place. The answer to this question is that since we’re a family-run business, and operate a 24/7 schedule (the hours we are “on-duty” between all of the services offered), we have to schedule close dates in order to get a much-needed rest from time to time as individuals and as a family unit.

This will be the first year since 2004 that we’ve closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
The reason for closing over the Holidays is this…. Since we’re a family-ran business, we are all working seven days a week most of the year, always sacrificing birthday events and Holidays together. And though we absolutely love to have special fur-kid guests with us over the Holidays, we decided we would take the Holidays off in order to spend the Holidays as a family and with our entire [extended] family.
As always, we will be open for New Year’s Eve and New Years Day for most services.
